Expected around November 2011, the Kia K9 will be the true successor to the Opirus in South Korea as Kia's top model, and extend their K5 - K7 line. It should share the same "German" look, thanks to chief designer Peter Schreyer.
From a branding point of view, this simplification makes perfect sense following the union with Hyundai.

Media reports in Korea say the production vehicle is expected to go on sale in its home market in the spring of 2012 and is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. in 2013.
